DR. Gilles Kouassi

THE EXPERTS

The founder of Chem & Tech Consulting, Dr. Kouassi holds a Ph.D., Doctor of Food Science [Food Chemistry] from the University of Helsinki in Finland. He has worked in various international settings, successively as a Researcher at the National Veterinary and Food Research Institute of  Finland (EELA), as Research Scientist at the Department of Food Science of the University of Nottingham in England, as a Postdoctoral Scientist at the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering and at the Department of Food Science of the Pennsylvania State University, in the USA; and as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Research Group Leader in the USA. Furthermore, he served for two years as Secretary of the Academy of Science of the State of Illinois.  

 He has accumulated over 20 years of research in the Food Chemistry/Technology, and nanotechnology sectors, working in close collaboration with industrial partners.  He is co-author of dozens of peer-reviewed scientific articles and book chapters, one of his publication was designated number One (1) Most Accessed Article in the American Chemical Society-Analytical Chemistry in 2006. Professor Kouassi is an expert reviewer for more than 30 international journals and serves in the editorial board of several scientific international journals. He is a professional member of the Institute of Food Technologist (IFT), member of the American Chemical Society (ACS), member of the American Society of Quality (ASQ) and member of several other professional societies.
